As a member of CGA-BC, Bing Wang has demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and has helped drive strong business results and improve financial processes.
In his job as Manager of Finance at Edelman (Leading global Public Relations firm), Bing is responsible for all areas of financial control and managerial accounting. He oversees financial reporting and is responsible for ensuring financial records comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). His co-workers describe him as personable and responsive. He is passionate about his work and innovative in ensuring that the business adheres to prescribed accounting standards while enhancing procedures and processes to improve business results.
Bing constantly improves his professional development. He attends professional development courses held by various professional organizations regularly. In addition, he researches topics such as corporate restructuring and governance, the adoption and impacts of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, and the adoption of IFRS.
Bing has joined Children of the street society as Secretary/Treasurer after the Society partnered with Edelman in its annual Corporate Social Responsibility Event: The Little Give. Established in 2008, “The Little Give” is Edelman Canada’s annual corporate social responsibility initiative that dedicates a little bit of seed money and a whole lot of time and energy to worthy non-profit organizations working to make a difference in the lives of children and youth. As a new Dad, he believes that the future generation must be raised in a positive environment where children and youth are safe and free from all forms of harmful activities.
