The Annual Youth Art Gallery Event is the highlight of our Youth Art Engagement Project, a free 9-week program that we offer to youth in the Tri-Cities.

The goal of the project is to give youth the knowledge and tools to prevent all forms of sexual exploitation from happening to themselves or their friends. At the same time, they create their own piece of social justice artwork ("art with a message") to help raise awareness of the issue of child/ youth sexual exploitation.

Youth use a variety of materials and mediums to express their understanding of the issue, including acrylic, watercolor and spray paint, clay sculpting, poetry, and more.

Read more about this program here.

Students from four schools in the Tri-Cities and Vancouver are involved in this project this year and will display their artwork at the annual Youth Art Gallery Celebration to family members, teachers, and community members.

This event is family-friendly, and includes: an art exhibit, food, karaoke and craft tables.

The 2022 Youth Art Gallery Celebration will be held on June 16th at our youth hub in Port Coquitlam. Due to COVID-19, the event is by invitation only. Check out the artwork created by our participants this year at the virtual gallery. We hope to see you next year!
