Kids today are spending more time online than ever before. Sexual exploiters know this and are taking advantage of this situation. 

 

That is why, on June 17th, 2021 at 10:30am – 11:30am (PST), we’re inviting parents and caregivers to join us at a live webinar on how to keep kids safe online.

 

Jillian Harris will be hosting Courtney Liem for a one-hour presentation that will provide caregivers with tools to navigate apps and social media, and to recognize the warning signs of online sexual exploitation.

 

This webinar will also include opportunities for Q&A, a live discussion, and fabulous door-prizes* including:

Will the webinar be recorded?

Yes, we will send a recording of the webinar to all registrants after the event.  

Will closed captioning be available?

Yes, live closed captioning will be provided throughout the webinar.

Will there be translation?

Unfortunately, at this time we do not have the capacity to provide translation. 

Will there be time for Q&A?

Yes. To enter your question, please use the Q&A section on the Zoom live webinar. You can also enter questions when you complete your online registration. We will choose the best questions to answer during the event. If you have any questions after the webinar, please contact us.

Is the webinar suitable for children?

This webinar is designed for an adult audience. It is not recommended for young children.

*Do I have to attend the live webinar to win one of the door prizes?

No, you do not have to be present during the live webinar to win one of of our fabulous door prizes. To be entered into the prize draw purchase your ticket before 9:00am PST on June 17th, 2021.

Can I receive a tax receipt for my ticket?

According to CRA guidelines, event tickets are not eligible for a tax receipt.

How do I book a presentation?

To see our workshops for children, youth, and adults, click here. Currently, workshops are only available in British Columbia, Canada.

How can I make a donation?

If you can't attend the webinar, or if you want to make a donation to help keep kids in BC safe from sexual exploitation, visit our donations page. 

How will event proceeds be used?

Children of the Street is a not-for profit and a registered charity. All proceeds from this event will go to support our free programs and services to keep kids safe from sexual exploitation.
