Tips on When and How to Report Sexual Exploitation

Important! If you know of a child who is in immediate risk, call 911 or your local police.

If you suspect that a child or youth has been or is likely to be sexually exploited, it must be reported to a child welfare worker. To report a crime to a child welfare worker, contact your local Ministry of Children and Family Development:

Any community in BC: 663-9122
Helpline for Children in BC: 310-1234

These lines are open 24/7. No area code is needed.

If you want to report online sexual exploitation of a child, contact Cybertip.ca, Canada’s national tip line for reporting the online sexual abuse, operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection. You can file a report online at https://www.cybertip.ca/en/report/ or by phone at 1-866-658-9022.
