Safer Space is a series of interactive workshops, designed specifically for youth to better understand how to stay safe when using apps and social media.
Similar to our TCO² workshop, Safer Space defines sexual exploitation; however, we focus primarily on online exploitation.
By using real life examples, we walk through online exploitation in a familiar and accessible way for our participants.
This 60-minute interactive workshop is offered to four different age groups (Grade 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-12). It can also be delivered to parents, caregivers, and service providers.
Some of the topics covered throughout the workshop include:
Workshops are interactive and customized to provide information most relevant to each school or community. Workshops are age appropriate and offered to children and youth ages 10 to 18, including students, alternate programs, community youth groups, and other youth audiences.

Children of the Street is dedicated to preventing the sexual exploitation and human trafficking of children and youth in British Columbia. We achieve this goal through education strategies, public awareness initiatives, and family support. Children of the Street is a program of PLEA Community Services Society of BC.
We acknowledge that we work, live and play on the unseeded territories of the Kwiketlem, Tseil-Waututh, Sto:lo and Qayqayt peoples.
